Loblaws National Food Drive Atlantic Kick-off Event

Loblaws is partnering with Food Banks Canada and FEED NOVA SCOTIA for the first ever National Food Drive presented by a retailer. From March 20-April 2 all Superstore and Save Easy locations in Halifax, and Loblaws stores across the country, will collect food and cash that will be distributed to local food banks in each store's home community. It's a coast to coast united effort to address hunger in Canada.
On March 20th at the Joseph Howe Superstore, there was a kick-off event, with Deputy Mayor David Hendsbee and MLA Len Goucher, as well as local cubs and beavers and volunteers from FEED NOVA SCOTIA, which included a ceremonial "first donation" presented by the cubs and beavers.
