The 3 Games in 3 Days Hockey Road Trip
The Atlantic Provinces, making up eight of the 51 chapters of the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, embarked on their first ever fundraising event. This ambitious hockey related event was geared to appeal to the hockey fans throughout Atlantic Canada. Tickets were $10 each and offered a chance to win a three day, three game hockey trip for two. It included airfare from the closest departure city, airline tickets to each city for the games, hotel accommodations in each city, VIP Hockey tickets for two in each city, plus $1,000 in spending money. The lucky winner of the draw was Paul Nurse of Halifax. The second prize, a Pittsburgh Penguin Jersey signed by Sidney Crosby, was won by Gary Boone of Newfoundland. Congratulations to the winners, and thanks to everyone who supported the event! More than $60,000 was raised for research to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis.
