Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids
Last month Halifax played host to Mike Weir when he came to town for his annual charity event, The Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids. Over 50 teams supported the event which took place took place at the New Ashburn & Glen Arbour golf courses. Mike had a full day of golf and split his round of 18 holes between the two courses. The day began at the New Ashburn course where Mike played his first nine holes, playing three holes at a time with three different sponsor teams. The golfing continued in the afternoon at the Glen Arbour course where Mike completed the back nine holes and treated the gallery to a fantastic golf performance. A great day of golf was followed by a gala dinner for Mike and 500 sponsors and participants at the World Trade and Convention Centre. All of the proceeds raised from this event will be given to the IWK Health Centre and the Children's Miracle Network.
