Judy and Larry Haiven and their son Omri, Jewish activists, will be giving a talk Tuesday February 9th at 7pm at Saint Mary's University, room 174 of the Loyola building. They will engage the audience with their journey to Israel and Palestine. They will share their story of the voyage to discover people and situations that are immortalized by the media.
The talk is being presented by a local, non-profit, non-political community group, Friends for Refugees. All donations received at this talk will be used to privately sponsor a family permanently relocating to Halifax from a Syrian refugee camp.
