2008 July > ST. STEPHAN'S ELEMENTARY CELEBRATES PLAYGROUND FUNDING Parents, teachers and sponsors couldn’t help but smile when kids from the St. Stephan’s Elementary cheered in excitement when the funding announcement was made for a new playground. Sure it was a spring fair and that’s always exciting, but it was the idea of having a new playground that got them really hyped up. At two separate events Lori Greenough, on behalf of Ronald McDonald House, District Councillor – District Patrick Murphy, on behalf of HRM, and Health Promotion and Protection Minister Barry Barnet were on hand to present cheques totalling $105,000 toward the playground project.
